Description
A grow rack beam safety drop pin reduces the risk of beams accidentally disconnecting over time and use. Safety clips, alone, tend to disconnect over time. Drop pins make an excellent back up to these clips. They also function well on their own. If you want protection then you could do far worse than to have one of a few of these on your side.
What would cause a disconnection?
If a forklift operator lifts a pallet too high, the pallet (or forks) can push the beam up and cause it to disconnect from the frame. This can result in pallets falling from very high up. Also, picking and restoring stock on the shelves causes jostling. The jostling has the potential of causing a disconnection.
Drop Pins or j-clips secure the beam in place. They work well in conjunction with safety clips. If a safety clip fails for some reason then you will have the j-clip or pin to protect you from harm.
Installation Location:
Grow rack beam safety drop pin finds itself installed on the side of the beam endplate. The drop pins connect through the punch on the side of the frame.
Keep in mind that the price shown here is for one of these pins. You will need more than one to have effective protection from drops.
