This garden rack frame measures 8′ tall x 3.5′ wide.
Garden rack frames are the primary structure of a vertical growing system. These garden rack frames are:
- Standard teardrop design
- Works with existing pallet rack
- Many size depths and heights available — call for details
- Seismically engineered for permitting applications
- Powder-coated green for corrosion resistance
- Large 5″ x 8″ Seismic baseplate works well for dirt applications
The heavy-duty garden rack frame is made from high-density steel for extra strength. The steel is finished with a green powder coat that provides protection from corrosion and water damage. Powder-coated steel also helps to maintain a sanitary growing environment and, unlike wood, reduces the incidence of mold, spores, diseases, and fungus.
Garden rack frames utilize a standard teardrop design which makes it compatible with existing pallet rack. The teardrop design makes installation simple, as beams securely slide into place without any cumbersome nuts or bolts. We have a wide variety of sizes in stock, with heights ranging from 8ft to 16ft and depths ranging from 2ft to 4ft. If you need a frame or beam specific to your space, our in-house fabrication team can make any size beam or frame to fit your exact needs.
These frames have been tested by a seismic engineer and are able to be permitted if your city or county requires it.
The large 5″ x 8″ seismic baseplate gives the frame a solid footing. Each base plate has four 3/8″ holes for anchoring into concrete. The large baseplate also works well for dirt floor applications such as a greenhouse.
How many garden rack frames do I need?
You’ll need two frames for each stand-alone bay. For each additional bay connected together in the same row, you’ll need one additional frame. For example, if you had three bays all connected together in a single row, you would need 4 frames. If you want three bays all standing separately (not connected to each other), you would need six frames.
If your space is large or complex, you may want assistance laying out where to place the vertical growing system. Give us a call and we can help you figure out exactly what you need for your space. We can also provide full CAD layouts of your space with the vertical growing system.
